New York All State Showcase

New York All-State Games. This will be the inaugural year for the NY All State Games. We will be offering two locations with separate dates. Albany, NY will be Aug 3rd, 2024 and Long Island, NY will be Aug 10th 2024.

The games will showcase players nominated throughout the 2024 spring/summer season participating in USSSA qualifiers. Players will be nominated for displaying great overall effort and tournament performance throughout the season and great sportsmanship. To be eligible, players must be rostered on USSSA teams.

This celebration of softball and the best and brightest players and teammates in NY is much more than just on-field games. Off-field entertainment is also being lined up for the event and may include face painting, a DJ and other festival-like features. We will have skills challenges and a home run derby.

Players will be placed on balanced teams with other players from other teams that represent the state or Region. Each team will play two exhibition games against teams from the same age group.

New York USSSA ALL – STATE GAMES EVENT INFORMATION:

Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 (Albany) or August 10th (Long Island), Games could start as early as 10 am with a check-in starting at 8:45 am
Roster batting is mandatory.
Catchers bring their own catching gear.
All game balls will be provided.
All Players wear your current teams Jersey.
Games will be 80 minutes in length. Once the time has expired, we will finish the batter. No score will be kept.
This event was created to be a fun, non-competitive showcase of players participating with other players from other teams. Poor sportsmanship of any kind will NOT be tolerated.
All players that have been nominated at each All-State Showcase event will be posted on the results page at www.usssa.com as the All-Tournament Team
4 teams per age will be made with 12 kids per team. Space will be first come first serve so don’t wait to register once nominated
- Ages & Divisions:
  - 10u
  - 12u
  - 14u
  - 16u/18u combined age group

Teams and schedules will be announced about a week before the event begins.
Players who are selected and participate in the New York USSSA All – State Showcase will also be eligible to participate in the USSSA National All – State Games in Viera, FL. next winter of 2024

PARTICIPATING PLAYERS IN All STATE GAMES RECEIVE:

New York USSSA All-State Ring.
All-State Jersey.
2 Exhibition Games.
Coached by a Travel or College Coach/player.

Entry fee to participate: $145 paid before July 13

Players must be nominated in order to register. Registration closes Saturday, July 13, 2024

ALL STATE GAMES COACHING STAFF:

Coaching staff will be made up of Travel/College Coaches and/or former players from the surrounding Region. Teams can not request a coach.

Players, Parents and Coaches,

The USSSA NY All-State Tournament-Long Island is coming to Copiague, NY on August 10th this weekend. Lots of information still needs to get to you. I have added all your emails to my sendgrid email campaign so hopefully they don’t get filtered from here. I know many of you have not gotten my emails which is frustrating for you and us.

The schedule and event updates will be posted on the event webpage on the NY USSSA state site and USSSA app. Everyone should download the app or have the link to the state site handy.

Mike from USSSA Island Fastpitch is putting together the rosters as we speak. We had multiple people drop and replaced in the last couple days. We appreciate your patience. We know you are all very excited to see who you will be playing with. Your coaches will also be announced during the week. They should reach out to you once announced to designate a meetup spot after check-in, for warmups.

Mike wants to announce the coaches Live on his facebook broadcast Island Fastpitch tomorrow Wednesday and hopes to have the rosters done today Tuesday 8/6.

This is the general itinerary:

Check-in will begin at 8:45am on Saturday morning.

Check-in includes picking up your All-State uniform & Ring and meeting up with your team to start warm-ups

Games begin at 10:00am

Each team will play 2 games ( 80 minute time limit game, finish the batter after time limit expires ) Some teams play back to back, some teams have a game break

There will be fun games, music and things to do when you are not playing your games. Practice your cliché’s incase you get interviewed by one of our roaming reporters

Games should conclude around 3pm

Optional Home Run Derby will start after games have concluded

Weather is going to be a concern. As of this moment we are still on for Saturday. The rain date is Sunday at the same location but that may or may not be helpful depending on how fast the storm tracks up the coast. The fields are turf so we are not worried about the playing condition of the field. We just don’t want to play in the rain. Plus all the fun off the field activities we have planned. Also travel to and from the fields are always a concern as well.

There is a concession stand at the facility so you don’t need to bring any food. Also, there are real bathroom at the facility. We are really looking forward to seeing you all at the very first New York All State GAMES!!!!!!

Players, Parents and Fans,

I am sending out an email to let you all know registration is CLOSED. I am sorry if you missed it but that’s it. Mike and myself are working hard reaching out to the nominated coaches and trying to put together the teams. Mike plans to announce the coaches live on his island fastpitch site. I will send you a link to that so you can watch it live before he does it. I also plan on posting these emails on the this webpage: https://nyfastpitch.usssa.com/events/new-york-all-state-showcase/ I found out that not everyone is getting my emails. This will help with communication. You all can reach me at [email protected] if you need me. I am actually on vacation this week so most of my replies will come at night.

We hope to have the teams formed by the end of the week. We hope to have the schedule posted by Monday morning of next week. The event will take place Aug 10th at 1 Tanner Park, Copiague, NY, 11726. Check in starts at 8:45am and games will start at 10am. Not everyone’s game will start at 10am. There will be fun activities for others who aren’t playing at 10am to do. We look forward to celebrating all you have accomplished this year for NY Softball. More communication will come as we get closer.
